FAQ
Both whey protein and casein are protein fractions from cow’s milk. With approx. 80% casein is the main component of cow’s milk protein. Casein functions as a ‘slow absorbing protein source’, and gets absorbed by the body over several hours. In comparison to this is whey protein, which counts as part of the ‘fast protein sources’. This means the body can absorb and metabolise it faster.
1. Be sure to nail your protein and calorie goals 2. The right protein intake is crucial. Choose high quality protein source like eggs, (low-fat) dairy products, lean meat (e.g. poultry) fish and soy products (e.g. tofu, soy drink). Maintain a good spread of protein intake over the day. Include the right amount of high-quality protein at breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and immediately after training sessions. To support muscle building and overnight recovery after resistance exercise, an additional protein serving just before bed might be right for you. 3. Eat as natural/clean as possible. Convenience foods (e.g. packet soup, fast food) should be avoided. Instead wholesome, nutrient-dense foods such as plain yoghurt without added sugar, whole grain instead of white flour, home-made salad dressings with virgin olive oil, lemon juice and fresh herbs instead of ready-made salad dressing should be preferred.
Currently there is no upper limit for daily protein intake, due to insufficient data, according to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). However, a high protein intake of 1.7g of protein/kg bodyweight per day is classed as uncritical and safe for healthy adults, according to EFSA.
The best before date represents the date during which food or a product (if stored correctly) can be consumed without any noticeable or essential changes to the taste or quality, or with any risk to health. As this is a best before date, and not an expiry date, it is possible that the product could still be suitable for consumption after the stated date. However, as manufacturers we can not guarantee the quality of our products if they are consumed passed their best by date. The expiration of the best before date cannot only affect the taste, appearance and the microbial decay of food, it can also affect its effectiveness.
The fact that certain flavours aren’t available here is based on the regional differences in taste preferences, which were determined through numerous market research studies. As a result, it might be possible that certain flavours cannot be found in your region, but are available in the USA.

The small hole in the white intermediate cover of our products is not a quality flaw – this hole (also called pinprick) is needed here. It ensures resistance of the seal towards high pressure differences (pressure equalisation). This prevents a contraction or bursting of the tub. Currently the pinprick is present in all Dymatize tubs.
